A moment of reflection and celebration, a decade of life racing the bike.

Moving closer to 2020 I've taken time to reflect on the past decade, ten years since I made a bold leap of faith leaving behind my sports physio career, jumped in the deep end & began racing in Europe. In 2010 fuelled with passion, desire & drive, I backed myself and went ALL in! I had nothing but a trickle of savings from my physio career & a small scholarship from the Amy Gillett Foundation. No professional contract, no institute of sport. I did however have a suitcase full of opportunism, self belief & most valuably the readiness to get uncomfortable. I built & nurtured relationships & never lost sight of the bigger picture. Far from perfect, rough & tough more often than smooth & easy... but this is my story. I am so proud of the journey i've had over this decade, chasing a dream with all the intention & vigor from a place deep inside. I want to express my gratitude for all the wonderful relationships I've made over these years, an immense appreciation for the learning experiences from each of you which have all contributed where I stand today. Let this time be a window of reflection, appreciate where you've come from, embrace the twists & turns in the road and ultimately give yourself some gratitude for being right where you are!
